At Aurillo, we believe building technology should also mean building responsibly. Our mission goes beyond innovation — we’re here to help shape a future that is ethical, sustainable, and inclusive. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values aren’t just something we talk about on the side. They are part of how we think, how we build, and how we grow. From the systems we create to the way we treat people, ESG is a natural part of our decisions and direction.
While we aren’t in heavy industry or manufacturing, we understand that every company, including a technology one, leaves an environmental footprint. We are committed to reducing our impact by choosing energy-efficient systems, using resources carefully, and working with digital tools that support greener outcomes. We make a point to reduce unnecessary computing power, optimize our cloud usage, and avoid waste wherever possible. These decisions are part of how we design our tools and how we run our own operations. In addition, we help our partners and clients lower their digital impact too — from helping automate time-consuming processes to cutting the need for excessive infrastructure. Environmental responsibility is not a one-time goal for us. We continuously check our operations, set new improvement goals, and keep looking for ways to align our work with broader efforts around climate action.
On the social side, we place people at the center of everything we do. At Aurillo, we’re building a work environment that is inclusive, equitable, and designed for sustained growth. We believe that everyone on our team deserves respect and value, regardless of their background. We intentionally commit to diversity, and make space for a range of voices in a conversation. For us, this is not just about who we hire, but more about something larger: our culture, our collaboration, and our overall approach to leadership. We believe we have the best chance of better ideas and meaningful outcomes when we leave space for a wider landscape of perspectives. We try to do this in our own way, with intention. Outside of our office walls, we also hope to help support the communities we touch, whether through supporting digital learning, creating opportunities through partnerships, or providing time and resources to support access to tech in positive ways. We want to help in whatever way we can, and build that knowledge and value to last. In terms of wellbeing, we dedicate ourselves to awareness around the workplace, through a flexible offer, learning opportunities, and supportive environments where they can be at their best, but not at the expense of burning out!
Strong governance is what holds all of this together. Trust is essential in today’s world, especially in technology — and that trust starts with doing the right thing consistently. At Aurillo, we follow high standards in how we handle data, make decisions, and operate across the board. Our internal guidance as related to security, privacy, compliance, and ethics is clear and updated regularly to reflect current laws and expectations. But governance is more than just rules — it's about transparency. We accept feedback, acknowledge and address things that need addressing, and we emphasize transparency every day. Integrity must be part of every interaction, whether with a partner, an employee, or a client.
As we look ahead, our ESG journey is still taking shape - and that's how it should be. Real change takes time, careful consideration, and a willingness to change. We don't know if we've figured everything out yet, but we certainly are committed to learning, getting better, and making progress with intention. As Aurillo continues to grow and evolve, we will continue to carry our ESG values with us at all times. Not because they need to - but because they demonstrate the value we have as an organization and who we are.
